About

Legacy Mini Bull Terriers represents more than five decades of dedication to Bull Terriers (BTs; we are AKC Breeders of Merit) and, more recently, Miniature Bull Terriers (MBTs). We are a third-generation BT family, and our passion for the breed naturally evolved into a dedication to the Miniature Bull Terrier. Our kennel name reflects that family legacy, built over generations of living with, exhibiting, and breeding Bull Terriers.

Our journey began in 1970 with our family’s first Bull Terrier, Lily, who inspired a lifelong commitment to the breed. (For a deeper dive, and to learn how my father’s initial interest was sparked during WWII when he met Patton and his white BT, Willie, head on over to our History page).

Lily as a puppy with Mom

That’s my Mom above holding Lily as a puppy.

Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of learning from respected mentors, exhibiting at the highest levels of the sport, and developing successful breeding programs. Those decades of experience now guide every decision we make as Preservation Breeders of Miniature Bull Terriers.

Today, our focus is on producing healthy, sound Miniature Bull Terriers that exemplify correct type, stable temperament, robust health, and excellent structure. Every breeding is thoughtfully planned, every puppy is carefully raised, and every placement is made with the goal of matching the right puppy with the right family. We believe our responsibility extends well beyond the day a puppy goes home, and we’re proud to provide ongoing guidance and support to our puppy owners for the life of their dog.
